Congrats to all on your respective Windows 7 upgrades... I will join you on the bleeding edge when I get a new gaming rig with the new ATI Radeon DirectX 11 cards.  Smiley

I can kick myself that I did not see the family pack on the shelf when I bought my single license copy. I did not reasearch that they were offering a 3 license family pack. So not sure when or if I will upgrade the laptop or the ole XP machine ala 3Ghz 686. Not sure if I want to uninstall all the stuff on the old machine but to tell the truth the only use the machine gets is by my wife to web browse and my tax returns for the past 4 years or so are on it as well.

This morning ( working from home ) I booted up my machine with the Win7 64bit disk in the drive and did a custom install.  Totally blew away my HD and repartitioned it, then installed the upgrade.  Everything worked fine.  Now I'm just going through the motions of updating drivers.  Next to install stuff I want to play Smiley

Is the fact that the "-char and other accents do not show until I press space or another letter new to Windows 7?
I use these chars quite a lot and it bugs me a lot that they don't show when I press the key.
I have been searching how to disable this "feature" (see!) but as I have no clue what to look for I cannot find it?
Anyone a clue on what might be causing this?

I use a QWERTY keyboard, so no accented letters as is the case with the French keyboards.

Nothing to see her folks, please move on...  Roll Eyes

Looks like it was bound to the keyboard that I had selected. On a "Belgium" keyboard this feature is turned off, on my previous "US" keyboard it's turned on.

Does anyone know if a USB-to-parallel printer adapter would allow me to use my old HP Laserjet 2100M printer?
My new pc has no parallel port.

Similar problem with my scanner, but of that one I know that it will not work with windows 7 so I'm forced to buy a new one. Sad
