Ooooooo!  Something like that would be perfect!  Any idea if the Mac versions work on the older PowerMac processor machines?  (I went to the Knowledge Adventure site, but they only listed "Toddler Advanced" for Windows.)

I'm going to try giving my daughter Dora the Explorer Snow Princess game for Wii for xmas. She'll be about 3 1/2 by then and can use the Wii remote for bowling, golf and tennis in Wii Sports.

Vid, you said you gave your son Diego when he was 4. How did he like it?

Funny--I pull this up just as I hear Nate watching Diego on TV!  He is now "into" Dora and Diego, but is still too young for the Wii, I think.

Daughter... she still can't play Wii Sports well enough, but can rip through the Diego game.  She loves it.  It's basically a very simple platformer.  You go left and right and occasionally jump over obstacles, climb ladders, etc., and there are hidden prizes.  There is no instant-death like with normal platformers -- it's very forgiving.  Plus, the objects are easy to find.  For small kids, it needs to be not so ambitious, so it works well.

I think as she gets older, the Wii will be a good system for her, but so far, she's not quite there... except for the Diego game!

Sorry, Vid - daughter Smiley

I'm very glad to hear she likes the Diego game. Bo seems to do well with certain games, like Bowling and Tennis (which she kicks my butt in), so hearing your daughter does well with Diego gives me confidence that I am not wasting money buying her her "own game."

She also likes the games on PBSkids.org as well. My impression of the site is that if you pick the TV show that's the appropriate age for your child, PBS has tried to match the games to that level of skill required. Bo just passed the Teletubbies games and has moved on to the Curious George.
